In Pursuit of Greatness: Rocketship Education

The learning process can be a very frustrating thing to experience, especially for children. In all honesty, every child tends to learn at somewhat of a different pace. Since slower-learning children can’t keep up in class with the average child, a learning gap will inevitably develop. When a learning gap develops, troubles are sure to follow. On the other hand, there is one school that has been able to successfully close the learning gap amongst its students. This school is known as Rocketship Education, and it uses some of the most technologically advanced programs for learning.

What’s so special about this facility? Well, Rocketship Education is a non-profit network of performing schools at the elementary level. The first school launched in 2006. It has been doing an amazing job with its students, which has also helped to garner plenty of attention. Former-tennis superstar, Andre Agassi, has donated capital to the school, and he has been a major player in opening the Rocketship Rise Academy in the nation’s capital of Washington D.C. Every child can certainly go on to attend a four-year college. That belief looks to be coming true as Rocketship Education’s students are scoring much higher on standardized tests.

Building a solid foundation is the key to success. By closing the once ever-growing learning gap, the school’s intuitive programs are feeding the kids some of the best ingredients at an earlier age. Percentile points have also drastically increased, especially when being compared to students of public/private schools. Rocketship Education is definitely on a mission to succeed and the data proves it.

The children of underserved communities are rising to the challenge and 75 percent of the students at the San Jose-based school speaks English as a second language. This really proves how intuitive the learning programs truly are and that’s a fact.
